This page is dedicated to sharing just some examples of Vedic Astrology's Unique Specialness:

Gandanta

Picture
My Moon is in the position in Vedic astrology called Gandanta. it is at 29 degrees 56 minutes of Pisces, right at the end of the Vedic zodiac which is the sidereal zodiac (This is 23 degrees 4 minutes of Western Aries).

And it was when I realised the nature of the degree of the zodiac occupied by my natal Moon is a special condition known only to Vedic astrology called Gandanta, and when I read what Gandanta means in my first Vedic astrology course, it was then that I realised the vast superiority of Vedic Astrology.

This is because the meaning of Gandanta totally illumines the circumstances of my birth and infancy and therefore of my life, and also gives a perception of the Divine meaning of such a birth – and none of this is even covered, or known of, in Western Astrology!

Tithi

Western astrology mostly completely underestimates the effect on your life of the Phase of the Moon at the moment of your birth. Did you know that Vedic Astrology has a magnificent system of Moon Phase called tithi? The Tithi you were born under is immensely influential in your life. It can even make or break the qualities shown in your birth chart. Read more …

Nara Chakra

Interesting Fact: Did you know that if you arrange the 27 Nakshatras in a certain sequence down your body, starting with your birth Nakshatra on the crown of your head, you will get a very accurate prediction of the health issues in your life. The procedure is called the Nara Chakra. It was certainly very accurate for me. With Revati to the crown of the head, it gave Mars- ruled Nakshatras on my stomach area for example, and I have lots of stomach trouble. Read more ...

Rahu and Ketu, the Nodes of the Moon

When we are born we are thrown into a set of experiences. In fact, a major part of our consciousness is ‘pre-programmed’. The fact is we will experience certain things. And the fact is our True Self, who exists eternally beyond time and space, actually chose this particular life. Our True Self chose this particular incarnation. It chose this life because this would provide us with the experiences we needed: the experiences we needed for us to have the opportunity to grow spiritually.
Our main incarnational life purpose in this life-time is clearly and surely mapped in the Vedic astrology Birth Chart by the position of the Nodes of the Moon in the chart. Read More ...

Vedic Relationships Astrology

Vedic Relationship Astrology is founded most centrally on comparison of the Nakshatra occupied by the Moon of the man at the moment of his birth with the Nakshatra occupied by the Moon of the woman at the moment of her birth. It is an incredibly accurate and reliable statement.
Here is a passage from my Level 3 Advanced Vedic Astrology Course on the subject of Vedic Relationship Astrology

Clearing Birth Scripts or Karmas

The western astrology birth chart is the map of the egoic personality and its unfoldment (the western chart uses the tropical zodiac based on the position of the Sun at the Vernal Equinox; in some senses the Sun in the birth chart depicts our egoic self).
The Vedic astrology birth chart is more the statement of the incarnational life purpose: the life scripts chosen by the soul for this incarnation, to enable us to do the work we need to do (because the Vedic chart is based on the sidereal zodiac, anchored to a ‘Fixed Star’ and thus to the ‘eternal’). Read More ...

Sade Sate

Sade Sate is the seven-and-a-half year life-changing phenomenon in Vedic Astrology when Saturn transits over the Moon in your birth chart. In Vedic astrology it has been likened to descending onto a pit. There are three stages:
A. You start your descent from the day Saturn enters the Vedic sign before your birth Moon.
B. You ‘bottom out’ as Saturn actually transits over the point occupied by your birth Moon.
C. You then gradually rise up out of the pit until the date when Saturn finally leaves the Vedic sign after your birth Moon. Read more ...

Evolutionary Astrology and our Incarnational Life Purpose: The Nodes of the Moon

Someone sent in this interesting question on the nature of Rahu: the North Node of the Moon, where the position of the Nodes of the Moon in the Vedic birth chart are used to state our incarnational life purpose this time. Read More ...
